Virtual Public Meeting – FM 1220 (Boat Club Road) from Azle Avenue to W. Bailey Boswell Road

When:

Wednesday, May 28, 2020
6 p.m.

Purpose:

TxDOT is proposing to improve FM 1220 (Boat Club Road) from Azle Avenue to W. Bailey Boswell Road in Tarrant County, Texas. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be conducting an online virtual public meeting on the proposed project. All comments must be received on or before June 12, 2020.

Description:

The existing curb and gutter roadway within the project limits consists of four 12- foot travel lanes with a 14-foot two way continuous left-turn lane.  The proposed project would enhance safety along FM 1220/Boat Club Road by constructing a raised center median in place of the two-way continuous left-turn lane for a distance of approximately 4.6 miles.  The proposed typical section would consist of two 11-foot travel lanes in each direction with either a 15- to 16‑foot-wide raised curb median or a four- to five-foot-wide raised curb median with an 11-foot-wide turn lane. The raised curb median with an 11-foot wide turn lane would be constructed where median openings are proposed at cross streets and major developments.  There are no anticipated right-of-way impacts.

Special Accommodation:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The public meeting will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (817) 370-6817  at least two working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
