Public Meeting - FM 157 from US 67 to south of CR 109

Purpose:
TxDOT is holding a public meeting to present and discuss the proposed alternatives for FM 157 from US 67 to south of CR 109 in Johnson County, Texas. Written comments must be submitted on or before, June 5, 2019, to be included in the official record.
Description:
The FM 157 reconstruction project, from US 67 to 8th Street, is 0.5 mile long. Improvements include a 14-foot outside shared-use lane in each direction, two-way left-turn lane, right-turn lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveways and drainage improvements. Approximately 2.0 acres of additional right of way are anticipated to be required. The FM 157 realignment project from 8th Street to south of CR 109, is 0.3 miles long with improvements on a new location south of 8th Street to south of CR 109. Improvements include a 14-foot outside shared-use lane in each direction, two-way left-turn lane, right-turn lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveways and drainage improvements. Approximately five acres of additional right of way are anticipated to be required.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
