Purpose TxDOT is proposing to improve SH 360 from SH 121 to SH 183 in Tarrant County, Texas.
Description

The existing SH 360 from SH 121 to SH 183 has two 12-foot general purpose lanes in each direction from SH 121 to Mid Cities Boulevard and three 12-foot general purpose lanes in each direction from Mid Cities Boulevard to SH 183. There is a continuous frontage road along this segment with access ramps to the mainlanes.

The preliminary design concepts and alternatives for the corridor are being evaluated to include additional capacity to SH 360 in the form of adding one general-purpose lane in each direction from SH 121 to Mid Cities Boulevard for a total of six lanes (three in each direction) for future traffic volumes. Existing ramp configurations and the operations of cross-street intersections will also be evaluated to enhance freeway operations and relieve congestion. The study approach includes evaluating opportunities for congestion management and the provision of multimodal accommodations, such as 6-foot sidewalks and 10-foot shared-use paths for bicycle and pedestrian traffic connecting the existing facilities that are in place.

Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling 817-370-6572.

The proposed project would involve construction in wetlands. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.
