Purpose TxDOT Fort Worth District is proposing to improve SH 114 from FM 1709 to Trophy Lake Drive in Tarrant and Denton Counties, Texas.
Description

The proposed SH 114 project extends approximately 7.8 miles from FM 1709 (Southlake Boulevard) in the City of Grapevine to Trophy Lake Drive in the Town of Trophy Club. The proposed improvements include adding one main lane in each direction within the center median area, reversing entrance/exit ramps between N. White Chapel Boulevard and Kimball Avenue, and connecting shared-use paths/sidewalks. The existing SH 114 is a six-lane divided roadway (three 12-foot-wide travel lanes in each direction) with 12-foot-wide inside and 10-foot-wide outside shoulders and center median to separate directions of travel. Two-lane to three-lane, one-way frontage roads are located on each side of the roadway, with new sections under construction to provide continuous frontage roads throughout the project limits.

Additional right of way for the proposed project is being evaluated and subject to final design considerations. No residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling 817-370-6772.

The proposed project could involve construction in wetlands. Potential project impacts have not been determined at this time.

The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.
