Purpose The purpose of the hearing is to gather public input and provide information about the reconstruction and widening of approximately 3.6 miles of FM 1187 from west of Chisholm Trail Parkway to McCart Avenue in Tarrant County, Texas
Description

The proposed project would reconstruct and widen FM 1187 from west of Chisholm Trail Parkway to McCart Avenue in Tarrant County, TX, converting it from an existing two-lane roadway with a center turn lane to a four-lane roadway with a curbed center median to enhance safety, capacity, and connectivity. The proposed project will also facilitate the construction of additional lanes to be added in the future on a separate project. Bicycle and pedestrian improvements, including a 10-ft-wide shared-use path on both sides of the roadway, and curb and gutter to facilitate drainage are proposed.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require approximately 49 acres of additional right of way and potentially displace seven non-residential structures. No residential displacements are proposed.
