Purpose | TxDOT El Paso District is conducting a corridor study of SH 20 (Texas/Alameda/Main) from SH 20 (Mesa Street) in El Paso to Shaffer Road in the town of Tornillo. The purpose of the study is to analyze and evaluate the current and future transportation needs for the SH 20 corridor, gather feedback from stakeholders and the public, and develop a corridor plan for SH 20. |
Description | The study area includes 35 miles of the SH 20 (Texas/Alameda/Main) corridor and goes through urbanized and rural areas within El Paso County. The corridor also serves as one of the major east/west connections for various communities along its route. The study will be conducted through a process of data collection, analysis of current and future transportation needs, and public outreach. The final result of this study will be the development of conceptual design recommendations and a set of short-, medium-, and long-term improvements. |
Accessibility | TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The virtual public meeting presentation will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call TxDOT’s Public Information Office at 915-790-4200 no later than 4 p.m. MDT on Monday, June 13, 2022, to request special accommodations. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange. |
