Presentation: 6 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of the hearing is to present the planned improvements and to receive public comment on the proposed project, which consists of constructing direct connectors, ramps, and auxiliary lanes and widening existing ramps and direct connectors between I-10, I-110, US 54 and Loop 375. Displays will be available for viewing and staff will be available to answer questions at 5 p.m. with the formal presentation starting at 6 p.m.. Comments must be received on or before Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, to be a part of the official hearing record.

Description:

The proposed project would improve mobility and address congestion on the existing roadway network. The proposed improvements require acquisition of 0.14 acre of additional right-of-way and 0.81 acre of temporary construction easements. The right-of-way acquisition in the vicinity of Frutas Avenue would result in the potential displacement of one commercial property. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program, benefits and services for potential displacees, and information about the tentative schedules for ROW acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT El Paso District Office at the address mentioned below. Relocation assistance would be available if the commercial property is displaced. More information about the project, including public involvement efforts and display boards from public meetings, may be found on the project webpage.

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be conducted in English, and a Spanish translator will be present. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (915) 790-4200 at least five working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
