Purpose: The Texas Department of Transportation is conducting a public hearing concerning the disclosure of financial information for a comprehensive development agreement for the Loop 375 Border Highway West Extension Project.
Description: The Texas Transportation Commission has determined a proposal submitted by Abrams-Kiewit Joint Venture provides the apparent best value for the Border Highway West Extension Project. The public hearing for disclosure of financial information is a step in the negotiations necessary to finalize the comprehensive development agreement.

The project is located west of downtown El Paso and south of Interstate 10. It extends approximately nine miles from Racetrack Drive near Doniphan Road and New Mexico Road 273 East to US 54, one mile east of Park Street. Proposed improvements include the design, construction and comprehensive maintenance of a four-lane, controlled access tolled facility to connect Loop 375 to US 85.

The public is encouraged to attended this meeting and provide comments. Written comments will be received until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014.
