Purpose:
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso District will hold a virtual public meeting to present the revision of the 2019-2022 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP). TxDOT staff will give a presentation regarding the revision to the Rural TIP. Comments may be received on or before Friday, May 15, 2020, to be considered part of the official virtual public meeting record.
Description:
The El Paso District includes El Paso County, Hudspeth County, Culberson County, Jeff Davis County, Presidio County, and Brewster County. The RTIP includes all regionally significant projects funded for construction within the District during the next four years. These meetings offer the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The RTIP reflects projects planned for delivery within your community. The Rural TIP is a primary component of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) that will incorporate funding for projects in rural and urban portions of the El Paso District.
The RTIP meetings are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the program. Presentation materials will highlight RTIP prioritized projects including years project funding is allocated for construction. A video of the public meeting presentation is available here:
