*This public meeting has been changed to a virtual online format only.

When:

12 p.m. MST     Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Purpose:

The purpose of this Virtual Public Meeting is to gather public input on the proposed Corridor Master Plan for the 9.4-mile section of Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) located between Alameda Avenue (SH 20) and Ascension Street. Please note: This Virtual Public Meeting was originally scheduled to take place in the form of an in-person Public Meeting Series #3 and a Business Open House on March 25 and 26, 2020. However, due to current events, TxDOT is cancelling the previously scheduled in-person meetings. TxDOT has prepared this Virtual Public Meeting as an alternative to the in-person meetings. Members of the public will be able to access this Virtual Public Meeting from a phone, laptop, or computer. A link to the Virtual Public Meeting will be posted on TxDOT’s website beginning March 25, 2020, and public comments must be submitted before April 10, 2020.

Description:

TxDOT is gathering public input as part of the process of developing a Corridor Master Plan to respond to current and future transportation needs along Horizon Boulevard. The proposed Corridor Master Plan:

  • Has documented and evaluated the community's future vision regarding transportation
  • Has defined existing and future transportation challenges and opportunities
  • Has considered drainage implications of potential improvements
  • Has developed a set of recommendations to enhance safety and mobility
A key outcome of this process is the recommendation of a set of projects for short-, mid-, and long-term implementation. More information about public involvement and the corridor study, as well as a link for the public engagement tool, may be found on the study page.
