The improvements would include the expansion of the current two-lane rural roadway to a six-lane urban roadway. Expansion would consist of two 12-foot wide travel lane and one 14-foot wide outside shared-use lane in each direction, a proposed median, and sidewalks located along the outside of both the eastbound and westbound lanes. The existing right of way (ROW) width is 80 feet and will increase with the proposed project. The proposed ROW is anticipated to acquire approximately 43 acres to expand the roadway, with five potential displacements, based on this preliminary level of design.
