When:

Thursday, May 16, 2019
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to solicit comments on proposed frontage road improvements to I-35W from Dale Earnhardt Way to south of the I-35E/I-35W Interchange. The meeting will be held in an open house format. Study data and maps will be available for viewing at the public meeting. Representatives from TxDOT and project consultants will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Friday, May 31, 2019, to be a part of the official record.

Description:

The proposed project consists of the construction of northbound and southbound frontage roads for I-35W from Dale Earnhardt Way in the City of Fort Worth to south of the I-35E/I-35W interchange in the City of Denton, Texas, a distance of approximately 12.3 miles. The frontage roads would consist of one 12-foot wide inside travel lane, one 14-foot wide outside shared use lane with two-foot wide curb offsets, and a six-foot wide sidewalk in both directions. Other improvements would include changing the I-35W ramp configuration from a conventional diamond to a reverse diamond (X ramp) and flipping the FM 1117 (Cross Timber Road), Old Justin Road, and John Paine Road/Allread Road interchanges so that the I-35W mainlanes cross over these streets. The proposed project would require additional right of way.

Special Accommodations:
