Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to present the roadway typical sections and alignment options and solicit public comments on the proposed roadway options to FM 407 from west of FM 156 to FM 1830, in Denton County, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Friday, April 5, 2019, to be a part of the official record.
Description:
TxDOT is conducting a Feasibility Study for improvements to Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 407 through Denton County. The limits of the study are from west of FM 156 to FM 1830, a distance of approximately 13 miles. The purpose of the study is to analyze potential roadway options to improve FM 407, including improving the existing alignment or utilizing new alignments. Maps showing FM 407 roadway alignment concepts will be available for viewing at the public meeting.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
