Finding of No Significant Impact - Available for Public Review

Purpose This notice advises the public that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for the proposed US 80 and Spur 557 project and that the FONSI is available for public review.  

The proposed project would reconstruct US 80 from FM 460 to Spur 557 and Spur 557 from US 80 to I-20 in Kaufman County, Texas. 

The FONSI and approved final environmental assessment (EA) are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Dallas District Office, 4777 E. Hwy 80, Mesquite, TX 75150, 214-320-6625. They are also available online

Memorandum of Understanding The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
