Open House - US 181 from FM 3239 to FM 2986

Purpose:
The purpose of the open house is to provide information, answer questions, and gather public feedback on a proposed project to widen US 181 from FM 3239 (Buddy Ganem Drive) to FM 2986 (Wildcat Drive) in San Patricio County. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before November 22, 2019, to be a part of the official open house record.
Description:
The proposed project is approximately 1.5 miles long and is located within the City of Portland. TxDOT is proposing to add a continuous travel lane in both directions and rebuild entrance and exit ramps to improve safety and operations of the freeway.

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
