Description

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Corpus Christi District, in coordination with Refugio County, is continuing the project development process for the US Highway (US) 77 improvements in the Woodsboro and Refugio areas. The US 77 Woodsboro Refugio improvement project would upgrade the existing US 77 to interstate standards along the existing route near the City of Woodsboro and construct new main lains and frontage roads with overpasses and on-off ramps, enhancing connectivity to US 183, a hurricane evacuation route. The approximately 13-mile project would require additional right-of-way, but is not anticipated to result in any displacements. Information for affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT district office or online under Landowner Bill of Rights and resources.
