Public Meeting - SH 6 Central BCS Expansion Project

Purpose:
TxDOT is designing improvements for SH 6 (Earl Rudder Freeway) from SH 21 to SH 40 (William D. Fitch Parkway). An open house is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan, TX. TxDOT staff will display the design drawings and be available to discuss the project.
Description:
Improvements include widening mainlanes from four to six lanes, adding auxiliary lanes and collector-distributor lanes for safer and more efficient merging, improving interchanges and bridges and adding shared use paths for bicycle and pedestrian use.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
