Gorman, TX 76454 (Map)

Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019
Open House: 5 - 7 p.m.
Presentation: 6 p.m.

TxDOT invites interested citizens to a second public meeting to comment on proposed improvements to SH 6 in Gorman, from 0.18 mile north of Crescent Street to the Comanche County Line. Staff will be available to answer questions.  Comments must be postmarked by Friday, March 8, 2019, to be included in the official meeting record.

The proposed SH 6 improvements would include the full reconstruction of the roadway pavement, which is failing in many places. Concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks would also be added or upgraded throughout the length of the project. All sidewalks would conform to ADA requirements (Americans with Disabilities Act).

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The meeting will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (325) 643-0413 at least two working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
