1100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
Georgetown, TX 78628 (Map)

When:

Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018
5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to gather public input and discuss the corridor study on Ranch-to-Market (RM) 2243 between 183A and I-35 near Georgetown in Williamson County.  The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, to be a part of the official meeting record.

Description:

The corridor study is being conducted to determine possible future roadway improvements and right-of-way requirements needed to serve the transportation needs of the Georgetown, Leander, and Williamson County.  Potential improvements include widening the mainlanes between 183A and Southwest Bypass to three travel lanes in each direction with the outside lanes operating as auxiliary lanes, constructing frontage roads with three travel lanes in each direction, and providing a new connection to US 183A. Between Southwest Bypass and I-35, the proposed roadway would include a four-lane divided road with two travel lanes in each direction. East and westbound traffic would be separated by a median and turn lanes would be provided at various locations. The potential improvements would require a typical right-of-way width of approximately 350 feet and approximately 500 feet at intersections. Potential improvements also include a continuous bike/pedestrian shared-use path.

Special Accommodations:
