Purpose: TxDOT, in partnership with the City of Austin and Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, invites you to an open house on proposed improvements to I-35 between SH 45 North and SH 45 Southeast in Travis County. Project staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. No formal presentation will be given. Attendees are invited to come and go at their convenience.

The purpose of these final open houses is to obtain public input on the recommended lane type alternative for the Future Transportation Corridor (FTC) and the proposed segments of independent utility within the I-35 FTC Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study limits. During the public meetings, displays of the study area and other study information will be available for review. The same information will be presented at each meeting location.

The public meetings will be conducted in English. Those with special communication, interpretation, or accommodation needs are encouraged to call (512) 832-7369 at least two business days prior to the meeting. TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs.

Those unable to attend the open house in-person can offer input online at a virtual open house that will run from Nov. 10-24, 2014. More information about the study and a link to the online open house is available on the Mobility 35 website.

Description: The proposed improvements are being evaluated through a PEL Study as part of the Mobility 35 Program. The PEL Study is focusing specifically on the proposed I-35 FTC, which would allow two additional travel mainlanes (one in each direction) within the existing I-35 right of way.
