Purpose:

The Texas Department of Transportation is conducting a Feasibility Study to explore potential improvements to US 183 from SH 71 to SH 130. These improvements would identify long-term safety and mobility solutions along US 183. The purpose of the public open house is to gather input on the study. The meeting will be held in an open house format so the public can come and go at their convenience. Staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, to be included in the official open house record.

Description:

As population and traffic volumes continue to increase, the need for improvements has become a growing safety and mobility issue on US 183. The potential improvements would enhance safety, provide more access and allow for better connectivity along the corridor.

Special Accommodations:

Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
