5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The purpose of the Open House is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to RM 620 fromHudson Bend Road to SH 71. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Oct. 25, 2018 to be a part of the official open house record.

The proposed project will address safety and mobility concerns along this section of RM 620 with the following improvements:

  • Widening the existing four-lane divided rural roadway to a six-lane divided urban roadway by adding a third travel lane in each direction
  • Adding raised medians
  • Adding a continuous bike/pedestrian shared-use path along the corridor

TxDOT will develop design options for the build alternative, compare them to the no-build alternative, and conduct an environmental study for the project.

Special Accommodation:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (512) 832-7060 at least 3 working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
