Open House - RM 620 from SH 71 to Hudson Bend

Purpose:
The purpose of the Open House is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to RM 620 fromHudson Bend Road to SH 71. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Oct. 25, 2018 to be a part of the official open house record.
Description:
The proposed project will address safety and mobility concerns along this section of RM 620 with the following improvements:
- Widening the existing four-lane divided rural roadway to a six-lane divided urban roadway by adding a third travel lane in each direction
- Adding raised medians
- Adding a continuous bike/pedestrian shared-use path along the corridor
TxDOT will develop design options for the build alternative, compare them to the no-build alternative, and conduct an environmental study for the project.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
