Open House - SH 29 from RM 1431 to RM 2241

Purpose:
The purpose of the open house is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to SH 29 from RM 1431 to RM 2241. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Oct. 12, 2018 to be a part of the official open house record.
Description:
Within the project limits, SH 29 is currently one 12-foot lane in each direction with shoulders of variable width. The proposed project would widen SH 29 to add alternating passing lanes and 10-foot shoulders throughout the project limits. The project would not require new right of way (ROW) and no displacements are anticipated.

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
