| Purpose | TxDOT and the city of Round Rock are proposing improvements to US 79 from I-35 to east of A.W. Grimes Boulevard in Williamson County, Texas. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be hosting a virtual public meeting. |
| Description | The proposed improvements include widening the existing US 79 highway to add a third travel lane in each direction with a raised median and selected median breaks, constructing intersection improvements featuring grade separations at Mays Street and at A.W. Grimes Boulevard, reconfiguring the US 79 and I-35 intersection, modifying driveways and access points to improve safety and traffic flow, and installing shared-use paths on both sides of US 79 to enhance pedestrian and bicycle accommodations. |
