| Purpose | TxDOT proposes safety and mobility elevated improvements for multiple modes of travel at the intersection of RM 620 and Anderson Mill Road, from South of Foundation Road to Little Elm Trail, in Travis and Williamson counties, Texas. |
| Description | The proposed project would extend for a total of 1.2 miles along RM 620, from approximately 240 feet south of Foundation Road to Little Elm Trail and would include bypass lanes at Anderson Mill Road and El Salido Parkway, intersection improvements, and improved bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. The proposed project includes the addition of overpasses that would function as a bypass lane in each direction through the Anderson Mill Road and El Salido Parkway intersections, the addition of turnarounds at both the Anderson Mill Road and El Salido Parkway intersections, and the construction of an additional right-turn lane from northbound RM 620 to eastbound Anderson Mill Road. The project also includes shared-use paths for bicyclists and pedestrians. The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potential displacements of 25 non-residential structures. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. At least part of the proposed project would occur within the Edwards Aquifer Recharge zone. |
