Purpose The TxDOT Atlanta District is conducting an online virtual public meeting for the 2025-2028 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP). All community members are encouraged to attend the virtual public meeting and provide written comments on the proposed program.
Description The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area. The Atlanta District includes Bowie, Camp, Cass, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Panola, Titus, and Upshur counties. The Rural TIP includes all added capacity and regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, this meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
Accessibility The virtual public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to participate in the virtual public meeting, please contact the Atlanta District, at 903-799-1309 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
