The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be conducting a virtual public meeting for the proposed 2021-2024 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP) for the Amarillo TxDOT District. The purpose of the virtual public meeting is to gather public input on the initial adoption of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-2024 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Amarillo District. Comments must be received on or before Friday, June 5, 2020, to be part of the virtual public meeting record.
This virtual meeting format (no in-person meeting) includes a pre-recorded video presentation and comment opportunity. The Rural TIP includes all regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, these meetings offer the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. A project in the Rural TIP is a project coming to your community. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
Pursuant to Title 43 Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, this meeting is being held to receive comments on the 2021-2024 Rural TIP for the Amarillo TxDOT District. The Amarillo District includes Dallam, Sherman, Hansford, Ochiltree, Lipscomb, Hartley, Moore, Hutchinson, Roberts, Hemphill, Oldham, Potter, Carson, Gray, Deaf Smith, Randall and Armstrong Counties. The TIP is a mechanism used by TxDOT and FHWA to fund projects for the next four years and inlcudes all federally funded projects.
TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. This virtual public meeting will be conducted in English. If you have special communication or accommodation needs, or have a need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call 806-356-3256 at least two working days prior to the meeting.
