Purpose | TxDOT and the Amarillo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) are proposing to replace the bridges located on Irwin Road at the East Amarillo Creek intersection and on Yucca Avenue at the East Amarillo Creek intersection in Potter County, Texas. |
Description | This project would replace existing bridges and add pedestrian accommodations. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain. Any environmental documentation or studies, any maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 5715 Canyon Dr., Amarillo, TX 79110. |
Accessibility | The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at 2 p.m., and will remain online for at least 15 days. To view the virtual public meeting, go to www.txdot.gov and search “Potter County Bridge Replacements” at the date and time indicated above. If you do not have internet access, you may call 806-356-3200 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process. Additionally, TxDOT is providing an in-person option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. The in-person option will be held in a traditional public meeting format and will include an in-person presentation by TxDOT staff. Hard copies of project materials will also be available and you can ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants and leave written comments. The in-person option will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at Diversity Church, 5631 Pavillard Dr, Amarillo, TX 79108. The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
