SH 183 Managed Lanes - request for qualifications (RFQ)

Authorizations and approvals

On March 29, 2012, the Texas Transportation Commission (TTC), in Minute Order 113045, authorized the issuance of a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the development, design, construction, and, potentially, financing, maintenance, and operation of all or any portion of the SH 183 Managed Lanes Project from SH 161 to I-35E/Trinity Parkway.

Additionally, on January 31, 2013, the TTC, in Minute Order 113427, authorized the issuance of an RFQ to develop, finance, construct, and operate to also include additional connecting facilities subject to the enactment of legislation authorizing the department to enter into a CDA for any such connecting facility.

On May 13, 2013, the department held an Industry Webinar for the project followed by one-on-one workshops May 22-24, 2013.

On July 25, 2013, TxDOT posted thelist of qualified teams for the SH 183 Project.
