When:

The virtual public meeting will begin at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, and will be available until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.

Purpose:

TxDOT is hosting a virtual public meeting for proposed improvements to State Highway 302 from U.S. Highway 285 to Farm-to-Market 2019 near Notrees, Texas. The project is located in Reeves, Loving, Winkler and Ector counties, Texas.

The virtual meeting will consist of a virtual room and will include visual components and an opportunity to comment. Comments must be received or postmarked on or before Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, to be a part of the official meeting record.

Description:

The proposed project consists of widening SH 302 from a two-lane undivided roadway consisting of 12-foot-wide travel lanes (one lane in each direction) with six-foot-wide outside shoulders to a four-lane divided highway consisting of 12-foot-wide travel lanes (two in each direction) with four-foot-wide inside and 10-foot-wide outside shoulders, in each direction. The proposed project is approximately 59 miles long. The proposed project could involve construction in wetlands or floodplains; however, that has not been determined.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23. U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
