Open House POSTPONED - Austin Avenue Bridges Project

4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Purpose:
The purpose of the open house is for the city of Georgetown, in collaboration with TxDOT, is to present proposed improvements for Austin Avenue from Morrow to Second Streets which include two bridges. Displays will be available and project staff will be present to answer questions. Attendees may leave feedback and come-and-go at their convenience.
Proposed improvements include:
- Rehabilitate the existing bridges and maintain the railings
- Construct a new pedestrian bridge to the east
- Construct a 10-foot sidewalk on the east side of Austin Avenue and a six-foot sidewalk on the west side of Austin Avenue at the San Gabriel Village Boulevard and Second Street intersections
Special Accommodations:

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
