Flashing left-turn signal arrows are replacing traditional circular green signals to let drivers know they must yield to oncoming traffic. Research shows that an arrow signal allows drivers to make safer left turns than the traditional solid green light.

  • Steady red arrow = Stop. No left turns allowed.
  • Steady yellow arrow = Prepare to stop.

  • Steady green arrow = Left turns allowed and protected.
