SH 288 Managed Lanes Project

The SH 288 Managed Lanes Project includes four tolled lanes in the center of SH 288, from US 59/I-69 in Harris County to the Harris County/Brazoria County line at Clear Creek. The 10.3-mile project provides relief for those traveling between downtown Houston and Brazoria County, including connections to US 59/I-69, the Texas Medical Center, I-610 and Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway).

The toll lanes of the SH 288 Managed Lanes Project have a minimum target speed of 45 mph. For the SH 288 Managed Lanes Project to continue to offer a reliable commute, tolling prices are managed with the intent to provide predictable traffic conditions. Toll rates are based on the day of the week, time of day, number of axles, and historical utilization.

Vehicle classification

The SH 288 Managed Lanes Project uses an axle-based classification system.

The toll rate you pay is based on the number of axles on your vehicle. Multiply the base toll rate by the Class Factor number for your vehicle in the chart below.
