Trivia
- Medina County derives its name from Medina River that traverses the northeastern portion of the county.
- The new facility, opened in April 2004, is in the Alsatian style that was brought to Medina County by early French and German settlers from the Alsace region of northeastern France in the mid-1800s. Alsatian style is characterized by buildings whose roofs are unequally pitched in a manner similar to a lean-to design.
- Underground collection tank collects rain water from roofs for irrigation.
