Utility location operation scheduled for Slide Road at Loop 289
Daytime closures planned
LUBBOCK – Starting Monday, Oct. 20, TxDOT will begin an operation to locate underground utilities on Slide Road at the south Loop 289 intersection. The work will require the Loop frontage road turn-arounds to be closed to traffic. Various lane closures are also planned for Slide Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work is expected to continue on Tuesday with the turn-arounds and various lane closured to impact traffic that day as well. Drivers are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes.
The work will take place weather permitting.
