I-10 Katy Freeway eastbound mainlanes scheduled for pavement repairs this weekend; motorists should expect delays

HOUSTON– TxDOT crews will completely close the eastbound mainlanes of I-10 Katy Freeway from IH-610 West Loop/ US 290 Direct Connect to Washington Ave/Westcott St for routine pavement repairs beginning at 9 p.m. Fri., March 27 through 5 a.m. Mon., March 30.

The closures are as follows:

The I-10 Katy Freeway from IH-610 West Loop/ US 290 Direct Connect to Washington Ave/Westcott St.

  • Motorists will detour on I-610 West Loop Southbound to IH-69; IH-69 Northbound to IH-10. northbound connector ramp to I-10 East Freeway.

The Eastbound Entrance Ramp from Silber Rd.

  • Motorists will detour by turning northbound on N Post Oak Rd to Old Katy Rd; turn eastbound on Old Katy Rd to IH-10.

As a reminder, TXDOT is asking drivers to follow any posted detour signs and have patience and caution to ensure safety as repairs progress.
