SH 21 Intersection Improvements

TxDOT’s Bryan District is developing plans to improve the intersections at FM 50 South, FM 50 North and OSR along SH 21 in Burleson and Brazos Counties. The proposed improvements would construct Restricted Crossing U-turn (R-CUT) intersections with offset U-turns at each location to enhance safety and improve the operation of the intersections. TXDOT does not anticipate any right-of-way acquisition for this project.

Each year, TxDOT reviews our roadway system to determine priority locations for safety improvements. These SH 21 intersections were evaluated and selected for project development, design and construction. The Bryan District office is developing the design and conducting environmental studies. Construction plans are being prepared with a target construction start date in Fall 2024.
