Brownsville, TX 78520 (Map)
When:
Monday, December 9, 2019
5-7 p.m. (CST)
Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to learn about the Texas-Mexico Border Transportation Master Plan (BTMP) and provide input on needs, challenges, and opportunities for moving people and goods across the border and within the border region.
Description:
TxDOT, in collaboration and partnership with the Border Trade Advisory Committee, is working with U.S. and Mexican agencies and stakeholders to update the BTMP. The master plan will identify the cross-border challenges of moving people and goods and will include analysis of existing transportation systems — roadway, transit, pedestrian, pipeline, air, rail, ports and waterways.
The plan will analyze current and future transportation and will include a prioritized list of transportation investment strategies that improves the efficient movement of people and goods across the border and supports binational, state, regional and local economic competitiveness.
Special Accommodations:
TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The meeting will be in English; however, materials will be available in Spanish and an interpreter will be present. If you have a special communication accommodation or a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (512) 685-2955 at least 5 working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
