| Purpose | TxDOT is proposing a process update for the Statewide Planning Public Involvement Process for the Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan (SLRTP) and the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). This notice is affording an opportunity to comment as part of the statewide transportation planning process and Texas Administrative Code. |
| Description | TxDOT has established the following public involvement process to provide opportunities for public review and comment at key decision points while carrying out the statewide transportation planning process, including the development of the SLRTP and STIP in accordance with the following federal code. TxDOT’s public involvement process for statewide planning is periodically reviewed for effectiveness to ensure that the process provides full and open access to all interested parties and is revised, as appropriate. TxDOT provides 45 calendar days for public review and written comment prior to adoption of any major revisions to the statewide public involvement process. Technical and policy information used in the development of the SLRTP and STIP is available to the public online. |
| Accessibility | The plan is written in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to review the project materials or submit information, please contact the Transportation Planning and Programming Division, at 512-416-2298 no later than 4 p.m. CT, at least three business days before the date on which you would like to review the plan or submit information. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange. El plan está escrito en inglés.
