Purpose The purpose of this meetings is to allow public input regarding Revisions to the 2021-2024 Rural Transportation Improvement Program for the San Antonio TxDOT District. The San Antonio District includes Atascosa, Bandera, Frio, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde, and Wilson Counties.
Description The Rural TIP Revision meeting is being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the program. The proposed Rural TIP Revision includes the addition of a project on SH 16, in Bandera County, Texas. The proposed project would expand SH 16 from Old San Antonio Road to Robindale East Road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes with a center turn lane. The Rural TIP is a mechanism used by TxDOT and FHWA to fund projects for the next four years and includes all federally funded projects. Attendance at the public meeting is optional. The revision to the Rural TIP may be viewed online by visiting txdot.gov, keyword search “San Antonio RTIP 2021-2024” or at the San Antonio TxDOT District Office prior to the meeting.
