| Virtual details | The virtual meeting will consist of a prerecorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted to this webpage by Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 at noon. This meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). You have two options (virtual and in-person presentations) to participate in the meeting and learn more about projects in Atascosa, Bandera, Frio, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde and Wilson. Both options will present the same information. |
| In-person presentations details | San Antonio District will present as part of local county commissioner court meetings on the 2027 – 2030 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP) at the dates and locations below: Kerr County Commissioner Court Bandera County Commissioner Court Medina County Commissioner Court Uvalde County Commissioner Court Frio County Commissioner Court Wilson County Commissioner Court McMullen County Commissioner Court Atascosa County Commissioner Court Kendall County Commissioner Court Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) |
| Purpose | The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area. The San Antonio District includes Atascosa, Comal, Bexar, Bandera, Frio, Gaudalupe, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde, and Wilson counties. Counties in the Rural TIP are Atascosa, Bandera, Frio, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde and Wilson. The Rural TIP includes both grouped projects and individually listed projects that include added capacity projects and regionally significant projects to be funded outside of MPO boundary, and within a TxDOT district during the next four years including those eligible for federal funding. The Rural TIP meetings are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the Rural TIP. |
