Open House - Runnels County Bridges Replacement

Purpose:

TxDOT will be conducting an open house to share information and gather public input regarding the replacement of five, off-system bridges in Runnels County. The meeting will be in an open house format and the public is invited to come and go at their convenience. TxDOT staff will be available to answer questions.

Description:

The five bridges are at the following locations:

  • CR 114 over Pony Creek
  • CR 128 over Mustang Creek
  • CR 301 over Valley Creek
  • CR 272 over Valley Creek
  • CR 216 over Oak Creek

Two of the bridges--CR 128 over Mustang Creek and CR 216 over Oak Creek--are historic pony truss style bridges and available for adoption through TxDOT’s Historic Bridge Legacy Program.

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The meeting will be in English, if you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (325) 947-9261 at least five working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
