| Description | The first implementation priority action identified by the Statewide Active Transportation Plan (SATP) was to identify and invest in Statewide Active Transportation Networks and specifically to “Begin identification of a priority investment network to direct investment in critical corridors”. TxDOT has begun this initial task with the development of the Active Transportation Investment Opportunity Network (ACTION). |
| Purpose | Public outreach through a virtual survey for the ACTIONetwork will build upon outreach conducted for the Statewide Active Transportation Plan (SATP) and District Bike Plans (DBP). The primary purpose of ACTIONetwork is prioritization of TxDOT on-system roadway corridors for bike and pedestrian infrastructure investment. This public outreach activity will help to refine criteria used in establishing prioritization and identify corridors for active transportation implementation. Any additional feedback provided will be considered as we identify priority corridors for active transportation investments. |
