SL 195 Extension and Connector Feasibility Study

The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, by 5 p.m.  

If you do not have internet access, you may call the TxDOT Project Manager at 956-702-6119 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process.

The same information will be shown at both in-person meetings. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the virtual public meeting, which will be playing on a screen; review hard copies of study materials; ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants; and leave written comments.

The purpose of the public meeting is to gather public input on SL 195 Extension and Connector Feasibility Study, and to allow the public the opportunity to view project related information and provide comments on the study. The presentation content will be the same for both the in-person meetings and the virtual meeting. 

• Establish the purpose and need for extending SL 195 farther east to I-69C/US 281 and completing the SL 195 Roma-Rio Grande City Relief Route to US 83.
• Characterize the environmental setting and identify environmental features that may influence the development and location of route options for the SL 195 Extension and Connector.
• Develop and screen controlled-access route options that meet interstate standards to determine which one(s) should be advanced for further detailed schematic design and environmental study.
• Engage and receive input from stakeholders and the public.
