Description

The original Federal Highway Administration approved project proposed general improvements to SH 288 from US 59 near downtown Houston to County Road 60 for a distance of approximately 26 miles. This original project went through public involvement and environmental evaluation prior to the 2013 FONSI and portions have been constructed. This Virtual Public Meeting addresses proposed design changes to the environmentally cleared project. Historical information on the SH 288 project may be found on the virtual meeting webpage for those who want additional information.

The purpose of the Public Meeting is to present the proposed design changes including construction of a two-lane southbound frontage road from north of Rodeo Palms Parkway to north of SH 6 and construction of four stormwater detention ponds. The proposed additions would occur within the existing TxDOT right-of-way and would not result in any displacements.
