Purpose The TxDOT – Fort Worth District will conduct an online virtual public meeting with in-person options for the 2027-2030 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP). The purpose is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area.
Description The Fort Worth District includes Erath, Jack, Palo Pinto and Somervell counties. The Rural TIP includes both grouped projects and individually listed projects that include added capacity and regionally significant projects to be funded outside of Metropolitan Planning Organizations boundary, and within a TxDOT district during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. This meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.
Accessibility The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact the Fort Worth District, at 817-370-3559, no later than 4 p.m. CT, of Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
