| Purpose | The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and provide information about the proposed realignment and widenening of FM 157 from BUS 287 to US 67 in Johnson County, Texas. |
| Description | The proposed project would include realigning and widening FM 157 from BUS 287P in Mansfield to US 67 in Venus, for a total of approximately 7.74 miles. The road would be widened to a four-lane divided roadway section (two lanes in each direction separated by a median) with a 12-foot shared-use path on both sides of the roadway. The purpose of the project is to add capacity and enhance overall safety by updating design standards for roadway alignment. The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require 170.8 acres of additional right of way and potentially displace six residential structures and two non-residential structures. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. |
