Purpose:

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is conducting a third and final series of public meetings regarding the US 67 Corridor Master Plan Study. The purpose of this third series of public meetings is to provide an update on the study progress and to solicit input from the public on the alternative concepts. The public is invited to attend all and any of the four open house public meetings to provide input, insight, and comments. The same information will be presented at each meeting. A virtual public meeting will also be published online on the US 67 project page, following the in-person meetings, as well as information about the study to-date and frequently asked questions.

Description:

The US 67 study corridor stretches 142 miles from I-10 west of Fort Stockton to the Presidio/Ojinaga Port of Entry on the US/Mexico border. The US 67 Corridor Master Plan will identify current and future needs along US 67 and provide a set of recommended projects for short-, mid-, and long-term implementation. Everything that the study team has heard from the public for the last year and a half has been considered, and technical studies have been conducted to develop alternative concepts.

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The meeting will be in English, however Spanish-language interpretation will be provided. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (915) 790-4200 at least two working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
