| Virtual details | The virtual public meeting will be available on this page on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026. The virtual public meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. Please note that the presentation will not be available on the website until the date and time listed above. If you do not have internet access, you may leave a voicemail for the TxDOT Projects Team at 214-535-7261 to ask questions and request access to project materials. |
| Purpose | TxDOT will conduct a virtual public meeting to gather feedback on the TxDOT Dallas District Bicycle Plan, which addresses bicycle mobility in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro and Rockwall counties. |
| Description | The state of Texas’s on-system transportation network – roads owned, operated and managed by TxDOT – connects communities, regions and destinations within and outside of Texas. While many bikeways are planned and funded at the local level, TxDOT works with local communities to develop bikeway networks integrated with the state system to improve safety, connectivity, and access within and between TxDOT districts. Developing a regional framework is vital as the state works to provide safe, well-designed, well-maintained facilities for bicyclists within each district and between districts, ensuring connectivity across the state. This is the next step for the state to plan more effectively for this mode of travel in the Dallas District. |
| Accessibility | The virtual public meeting will be conducted in English and Spanish, with materials available online. The Virtual Public Meeting will also be translated into American Sign Language (ASL). If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you require interpretation or translation services, or if you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting, leave a message at 214-535-7261. Advance notice is required, as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange. |
