Purpose

TxDOT is proposing to build a new location intersection at FM 429 and US 80.

Description

The FM 429 proposed improvements include:

  • Construction of a new-location 4-lane urban minor arterial roadway
  • Addition of left turn lanes at US 80 and north and south connector roads

US 80 would be reconstructed to include left turn lanes and a raised median at the proposed intersection with FM 429. A portion of the project is located within the City of Terrell. The existing FM 429 right-of-way (ROW) width is between 90 and 105-feet wide. The proposed ROW width of FM 429 on new location would vary from a minimum of 175 feet to a maximum 285 feet.

The proposed project would, subject to final design consideration, require approximately 36 acres of additional ROW.

Accessibility TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you.
